Large-Scale Food Chain Restaurants in the United States Are Now Accepting Bitcoin Payments

Citizens of the United States will now be able to pay for their food orders using Bitcoin from eligible restaurants.

The adoption rate of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies continues to grow in the United States. Institutions, companies, businesses have started to consider Bitcoin as a viable method of completing business transactions on both management and customer’s level. The latest adopters have started to rise from the food industry which includes, Muscle Maker Grill and other various restaurant chains that work under a single root company named Landry’s.

Landry’s Incorporated is a private corporation that basically runs multiple businesses included in the dining, entertainment, and gaming sectors. During an interview conducted by CNBC, CEO of Landry’s, Tilman Fertitta, stated that most of the restaurants that run under Landry’s would soon accept Bitcoin as a viable and secure payment method.

Tilman said that probably in the next 90 days, all restaurants under Landry’s would successfully implement Bitcoin payment methods into their systems. The use of MasterCard, Visa, or American Express will still be an option, but the focus will mainly be on Bitcoin and other digital assets. The process will start with a couple of branches Of Mastro’s, whereas other brands like Bubba Gump Shrimp and Morton’s Steakhouse will follow shortly.

Bitcoin is here to stay – Fertitta

Tilman Fertitta is also the owner of a famous USA basketball team, The Houston Rockets, which also recently started accepting payments in Bitcoin. Tilman believes that transactions are very easy and simple to do using Crypto and said that cryptocurrencies are ‘here to stay in the market. Tilman said that after the adoption of Bitcoin by the Houston Rockets, the adoption by restaurants owned by Landry’s was eventually going to happen.

Muscle Maker joining the Bitcoin Party

Following the interview with Tilman, Muscle Maker also pointed at similar implementations for its chains that include Muscle Maker Grill, MMG Burger, Healthy Joe’s, and Superfit Foods. Muscle Maker announced that it would also start to accept Bitcoin as an alternative payment method with cash and cards also available for legacy customers.

CEO of Muscle Maker, Michael Roper, said that companies who are looking to become relevant in the future must implement Bitcoin payments. Michael also said that the implementation of crypto would help people enjoy healthier food, which is the main goal of Muscle maker.
