Kjell Inge Rokke, a billionaire from Norway, whose wealth came out from the oil field, has said that Bitcoin will be worth millions. Forms a crypto business that is specifically built and developed for Bitcoin only. Entire earnings of newly established crypto businesses will be utilized for acquiring Bitcoin, informs Rokke.
Kjell Inge Rokke, the founder of a Norwegian company called Aker ASA, is known and popular for being a fan of Bitcoin. When there is criticism regarding Bitcoin, he has never been afraid of showing his relentless support for Bitcoin. He is one of the richest in Norway and most of his wealth has come from the field of oil.
On 8th March, 2021, Rokke announced officially that he has established a new business that is crypto-oriented only. He informed that the new establishment has been registered in Norway under the name and style of Seetee AS. The interesting revelation he made was that all of the funds, earnings, and liquidity belonging to Seetee AS will be used for acquiring Bitcoins only. He argued that though Ethereum and other cryptocurrencies have great potential but he is concerned with Bitcoin alone.
Aker AS is engaged in the business of rendering services relating to engineering and offshore fishing. It was founded by Rokke almost 17 years ago in which the initial shareholding of Rokke was 67%.
Rokke informed that the new business will focus on investment those projects which are based on Bitcoin. The initial capital pooled in by Rokke for the company is told to be around US$ 59 Million. However, he had told that over time the capital will be increased further.
It was further explained by Rokke that he would like to use Bitcoin as a treasury asset. In the next couple of years, he suggested that his newly established company will become a Bitcoin holder.
As regards the company’s business, he explained that the company will be covering four major aspects. The initial and second aspect of the company would be to invest in Bitcoin and thereafter become part of the blockchain industry. He suggested that for both these aspects the company will join hands with other companies through entering into partnership arrangements.
With regard to the third aspect, he stated that the company will focus on launching operations relating to Bitcoin verification i.e. mining operations. Last but not the least, Seetee will launch its very own Bitcoin-related projects with respect to the fourth aspect, said Rokke.
He apprised that nowadays he is looking to explore the possibilities of establishing business ties with some companies. The first company to become a partner with Seetee has been told by Rokke to be “Blockstream”. The duty of Blockstream would be to look at the mining operations.
