Several gaming projects are looking to reward their loyal users with free tokens this year. Here is a list of games that have announced their upcoming token airdrops.
Off the Grid
Fast-growing game, Off the Grid, was launched in October 2024. It quickly became popular among crypto games, topping the charts in the Epic Games Store. Now, the developer of the Avalanche-based game Gunzilla Games has announced the launch of GUN, a cryptocurrency that will power the Off the Grid ecosystem.
Before its launch, GUN will be distributed via an airdrop to millions of users. However, Gunzilla Games has yet to reveal how users can qualify for the airdrop. In addition, the launch date for GUN is still unknown, but the token is expected to go live this quarter.
Farm Frens
Before January ends, eligible players of Farm Frens, a popular Telegram game, will be rewarded for their participation. Late last year, the game said its native token, which doesn’t have a name yet, will launch on the Base Chain. The airdrop allocation for each user will depend on the number of Dung, Nuts, and Dirt accrued since Farm Frens launched.
It is worth mentioning that players of Everseed, a game on the Base Chain, also have a chance to receive the upcoming Farm Frens token. To become eligible, they need to hold a specific amount of Diddit, Everseed Ranger, and Spout NFTs.
Wanderers
Wanderers’ native token, WANDER, goes live in the Base Chain tomorrow, January 8th. The game’s creator has collaborated with Treasure DAO to airdrop the token to qualified users.

Zoo
Inspired by Microsoft’s classic game Zoo Tycoon, Zoo will conduct its token airdrop later this quarter after ending its mining phase on January 31st. The game’s creator says those who wish to improve their chances of receiving free ZOO tokens must buy and feed animals and complete all the daily quests.
Onchain Heroes
The native token of Onchain Heroes will launch on Abstract, an upcoming blockchain developed by the parent firm of the Pudgy Penguins NFT project. While Abstract will go live before the end of January, the token launch and airdrop date remain unclear.
Regarding airdrop eligibility, you must be a holder of Genesis Rings NFTs to receive a free Onchain Heroes token.
Cat Gold Miner
The most-anticipated CATGOLD token launches on Thursday, January 9th. If you collected NFT vouchers within the Cat Gold Miner game from January 2nd to 6th, you likely qualify for the upcoming airdrop, in which roughly 300 million tokens will be distributed to the community.
After receiving your free CATGOLD tokens, you can deposit them on Gate.io, MEXC, or Bitget to cash them out.
TapSwap
Well-known tap-to-earn (T2E) game TapSwap plans to roll out its native token TAPS later this month. The project’s developers have said that the crypto asset will play a vital role in the TapSwap ecosystem.
To qualify for the TAPS airdrop, which will happen on the Telegram-affiliated network TON, you must use the city-builder game mode in the TapSwap game.
Captain Tsubasa: Rivals
Lucky players of the Captain Tsubasa: Rivals soccer game are set to receive free JOHN tokens soon. The developer of the project says airdrop allotments will be based on the number of collected soccer balls and unlocked players. Additionally, users need to complete daily tasks to improve their odds of becoming eligible.
Seed
Seed will roll out its SEED cryptocurrency on January 15th. While the game runs on TON, its token will launch on the Sui network. Those who want to receive some free SEED must plant trees in the game to earn seeds, which will determine the number of tokens to be airdropped.
InfiniGods
InfiniGods’ upcoming native token, GOD, will go live on Ethereum before the end of March. Users must own an InfiniGods NFT or complete quests to qualify for the token airdrop.
