Following the successful launch and sale of NFTs by Garbage Pail Kids and Topps’s Godzilla collectibles, now the most admired developer of bobblehead figurine, Funko Inc. too is ready to launch its collectibles comprised in an NFT. Funko Inc. becomes partners with Tokenwave LLC to whom the project of launching the NFTs has been entrusted to.
Funko is an American company established in 1998 by Mike Becker and his wife, Claudia Becker, and is a listed company at NASDAQ. The company is involved in the manufacturing and producing some of the amazing bobblehead figurines which are admired globally. It has many of its own designed and produced line of characters which are famous amongst kids across the globe.
Though there are a number of different products being manufactured by Funcko, but it is widely known for bobblehead figurines. Now the company has invested in another company known as Tokenwave for expanding Funko’s platform beyond its comfort zone. It has been informed by Funko that it is intending of launching an NFT and therefore integrating crypto assets within its culture. Funko’s annual revenue collection is over and above US$ 500 Million and it is amongst one of the best toy producers in America.
Tokenwave LLC is a company that is involved in the development of a mobile app known as Tokenhead. This app of Tokenhead is thereafter used for collecting and purchasing non-fungible tokens i.e. NFTs. The app is easily downloadable at any smartphone which is operated either by iOS or Android-based operating systems. NFTs more than 10 million are currently available for sale and collection at Tokenhead App. In addition, almost a hundred thousand people visit and log into the app on daily average basis.
However, Funko has not revealed how much it had costed it to acquire the Tokenhead app. But one thing is clear that in June Funko is looking forward to add its very own NFTs into the NFTs ecosystem. It has been told by Funko that bobblehead figurine comprised NFTs will be put up for sale through WAX Blockchain.
Brian Mariotti who is the CEO of Funko Inc. stated that his company is looking forward to join this extraordinary industry. He told that the company’s partners are also excited that Funko too has joined the NFT market. He said that the goal of the company would be to incorporate value-added collectibles of NFTs.
Mariotti also informed that Funko has developed new line of figurines that will be available in the market very soon. He added further that there are new agreements that have been executed between Funko and top firms from the toy industry.
Meanwhile WAX Blockchain suggested that Funko’s participation in the NFT space will be a game changer in the field.
