A Twitter account has been pointed by a researcher on 22nd February, 2021 which, according to the researcher, might belong to the inventor and founder of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto. Some intriguing tweets shared from the account suggest a strong connection with Satoshi Nakamoto.
Cryptocurrencies’ invention was a groundbreaking innovation of the 21st century and most people agree with that. The first-ever digital asset that popped up was Bitcoin and since that day onward it has shown remarkable growth. The idea of Bitcoin didn’t take long to strike a global audience and soon became a new norm.
Nowadays, Bitcoin is on the rally where its value is increasing on almost every day. Those who invested in it are today revealing the benefits. However, one thing which has remained unrevealed since the day Bitcoin was invented, is its creator i.e. the person who actually made this happen.
The entire world has consensus on the point that the person who created Bitcoin is named “Satoshi Nakamoto”. This name too doesn’t even belong to anyone in the world and certainly is a made-up name intentionally adopted by Bitcoin’s founder.
There have been many claims in the past where people claimed to be Satoshi Nakamoto. But when they were put on to the test, almost all of them failed miserably. Yet, the quest of finding the real inventor is still going on and so far nobody is certain who is the real person behind Bitcoin.
Similarly, another claim has been made on Monday (22nd February) wherein a researcher is certain that he found a clue regarding Satoshi Nakamoto.
A man called Varun, who is an author of a publication revealed at substack.com that he came across a mysterious Twitter profile. He suggests that the contents available in the Twitter profile strongly suggest that the account belongs to Satoshi Nakamoto.
A Twitter account called “Goldlover” was pointed out by the researcher which according to him is of Satoshi Nakamoto. However, uncertainty is still prevailing in Varun’s mind who thinks it may or may not be the actual account of Nakamoto.
It was revealed in the research paper compiled by Varun that at one point in time the account was used actively. However, the activity stopped in the Twitter account at the same moment when Nakamoto also left the community for reasons best known to him.
Varun informed that the mysterious profit was generated way back in May 2008. A large number of tweets from the account talked specifically about “Gold”. According to Varun, the use of the word “Gold” in tweets is in fact a coded word. The real meaning of “Gold” is something else, he suggested. He concludes that the account-holder’s intention of mentioned “Gold” actually meant “Bit Gold”.
He further went on to find out that a tweet in 2008, a tweet message from the same account referred to “digital gold currency”. There were other tweets that talked about financial crisis, fiat currencies, decentralization etc. According to Varun, all these words can be regarded as hallmarks pointing out that the owner could be Nakamoto.
The Twitter account is still a mystery and the majority of people believe that the researcher is wrong.
